Recommended by the best
Balanced Scorecards are great for aligning your business activities to the vision and strategy of your organization. Nobody knows them better than the Balanced Scorecard Institute. For over a decade they’ve been recognized as the global leaders in balanced scorecard consulting.
Which is why we couldn’t be more excited to announce that we provide the software that they recommend. QuickScore is the only balanced scorecard software officially recommended by the Balanced Scorecard Institute.
Create strategy maps easily.
Once you’ve built your balanced scorecard, creating an attractive strategy map is easy. You just move and resize colored bubbles that represent your strategic objectives. QuickScore automatically updates the bubbles’ colours based on your latest performance data.
Strategy maps are great for seeing how well you’re performing at a glance. If you want more detailed information, just click on one of the colored bubbles to drill down.
Bookmarks for quick information
The first thing you see when you log in is a list of your favorite screens. With one mouse click you can see all of your red metrics, check the latest sales numbers, or glance at the safety dashboard. You decide what is important.
As a matter of fact, some people never leave the bookmarks section at all. They spend a few minutes every morning reviewing their three or four favorite screens and then get to work.
Drill down to details
If you want to see what’s going on behind the scenes of a dashboard or report, just click to drill down. You can get to the root of the problem by viewing underlying data, analyzing metric trends, and reading other people’s comments
Search for anything, instantly
You can also jump directly to what you’re looking for by searching. Just type a word or phrase into the search box to quickly find reports, dashboards, or even individual metrics.
Scoring your metrics
In order to compare different metrics against each other, they need to be scored. QuickScore supports all kinds of ways to score your metrics, including no scoring at all.
One of the more interesting types are the stabilize metrics. They have their highest score in the middle and are used when you want to avoid values that are too low or too high.
Many ways to update
QuickScore makes it easy to pull metric data from your existing databases and spreadsheets. You decide a schedule, and your metrics update automatically.
Of course you can always update your metrics manually too. Our software can even send reminder emails if you forget.
You may update your metric values monthly or weekly, but there are many more ways to view your data. If you choose to view things quarterly or yearly, the software will instantly show your aggregated totals. It’s able to do this by pre-calculating your data so that everything is ready when you need it.
Metric values and thresholds can be calculated from any other metric value or threshold. This can greatly reduce the number of metrics that need to be updated because a single metric update can set off a chain reaction of calculations.
For example, you can make a metric’s monthly value be the average of several other metrics’ values. Or, you could make a metric’s yearly goal be the previous year’s actual value plus 5%. The sky’s the limit.
Track goals over time
In addition to metric values, we also track your thresholds over time. This is important because your performance goals today are not always the same as they were yesterday.
If you look at the chart on the right you can see a spike in the background colors. That’s because both the goal and red flag thresholds were increased for August.
A true freeform canvas
Our dashboards look a lot like Microsoft PowerPoint™ slides. Each one starts out as a blank canvas, and you add things like charts, gauges, and data tables.
You get total layout freedom. With our freeform design you’re not forced to align things in rows or columns like you are with other dashboard products. You can resize and move things anywhere until they look just right.
The big difference from PowerPoint™, however, is that once you create a dashboard, it automatically updates in real-time based on your latest data. It’s like having magical slides that are always up-to-date and always available on the web.
We love the web, but we know that sometimes you need to work other places too. That’s why we developed our dashboards to export to a variety of formats including PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat, and JPEG.
When you export to PowerPoint, the dashboard objects are fully editable too. You can change text, add new things from PowerPoint, and rearrange objects to look great on your slide.
and finally… Free online training
To get you started, we’ve created over a dozen videos teach you how to use QuickScore. They’re completely free to view on-line to watch at your convenience. You don’t even have to give us any information.
If you’re interested in a more personalized approach, we also have several live training options available at competitive rates. You can take one-on-one sessions with our trainers on-line. You can schedule a class at our Winchester offices. We can even come to you for multi-day on-site engagements.
